Something New Under the Sun

Marists

On the feast of the Annunciation, on 25th March 2025 we have officially launched the new provincial website of the Society of Mary in Europe. The event was live broadcasted from La Neyliere, our Marist House of Welcome in the south of France, where Fr Jean Claude Colin, the founder of the Society is buried.

Fathers Kevin Duffy (Provincial) and Declan Marmion (Vicar Provincial) shared a brief reflection explaining why it is a significant moment in the life of the province and introduced the main features of the website. To reflect the geography of the province, the site is available in seven languages, will feature news and updates from the eight countries where our Marist communities are present: Italy, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, Ireland, France and England. The event included a time of prayer for vocations in the Marist Family and asked Mary’s intercession for this new venture.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of human creativity and the technology which gives us the opportunity to share your Word with the world. We ask for your blessing upon this new website, that it may serve as a beacon of faith, hope, and love. Guide all who visit this site, and may it be for them a source of learning and connection with You. May all who seek Your presence be inspired to be disciples of Christ in the manner of Mary. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

We hope to continue developing our online presence and reflect the richness of our Marist mission and spirituality in the cyberspace. Please continue to explore these pages and don’t hesitate to get in touch with us through our contact page.
