Building inclusive faith communities inspired by Mary
Place for All
As Marist communities and individuals we work in parishes in collaboration with diocesan and other religious. Marists endeavour to develop parishes as communities of faith, called to be truly missionary, reaching out in an inclusive way to all people – enabling parishioners to be active participants in mission.

Values which shape our Mission
living out the mission of Christ
in the manner of Mary
evangelization and service to people who are disadvantaged and at the margins of society
welcoming and entering into dialogue with people of other faiths and none
shaped by the teaching of social justice at the local level and worldwide
partnership in mission with coworkers and other organisations
Constitutions of the Society of Mary No. 12.
“Our call is to be truly missionary: we are to go from place to place, announcing the word of God, reconciling, catechizing, visiting the sick and the imprisoned, and doing the works of mercy. We attend especially to the most neglected, the poor, and those who suffer injustice. We are ready to carry out these tasks anywhere and at any time.”
“We must get out of ourselves and go toward the periphery. We must avoid the spiritual disease and become self-referential.” Pope Francis
