Provincial Finance Meeting in Paris

Marists

In June 2026, the Province of Europe held its Annual Meeting of National Administrators and Bursars in Paris, attended by representatives from all eight countries in the province.

The meeting confirmed that the Province of Europe has sufficient resources to fund its ministries and support its members. Participants received detailed updates from each Unit and the Provincial Administration.

The event was characterised by a strong spirit of cooperation, despite the logistical challenges of accommodating over 20 participants from four different locations in a new retreat house. Simultaneous translation was provided by confrères and colleagues, while lay collaborators played a crucial role in financial discussions, reflecting their growing importance due to the aging membership and the complexity of modern finance.

The packed agenda was completed, followed by the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the UESM, the province’s legal body. Pat Brophy, the General Bursar, and his assistant Giovanni Maria Manozzi attended and contributed significantly.

The Province of Europe thanks all participants for their engagement, which demonstrated the unity and goodwill of the community.
