Golden Jubilee Celebration in Dublin

Marists

It was indeed a special community event in St Teresa's parish in Donore Avenue to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ordination to the priesthood of Fathers Larry Duffy, John Harrington and Paul Walsh on August 10th. It was a wonderful celebration with Larry celebrating the Mass, Paul sharing the Gospel, and John leading us in reflection for the homily. They were joined on the altar by fellow Marist confreres.

Parish volunteers, through the good offices of the parish council, provided a very enjoyable lunch for over 100 people after the celebration of the Eucharist. It was a wonderful celebration, touching in its simplicity, the warm welcome and easy mingling, beautifully animated songs, all passed naturally and smoothly in a family atmosphere, for which Donore Avenue is so renowned. It was clear that all present were delighted to share this special moment, including those linked in online.

Our thanks to all three for their dedicated life of service! We wish them every blessing for the remaining years God will grant them.
