On 12 September, the Feast of the Holy Name of Mary, members of the Marist Family gathered at the Chapelle des Pères Maristes in Sainte Foy-lès-Lyon to give thanks for generations of Marist who passed through this house. It was an opportunity for the Marist Fathers to hand over the chapel keys to Rhône Saône Habitat, the charitable organisation now repurposing the building for social housing. It was a day of gratitude for all the Marists who were formed, served, and lived here over the years. The centre of the celebration was a Mass of Thanksgiving for the Marist presence at Sainte Foy, during which there was the symbolic passing of the chapel keys. This was followed by an aperitif shared with friends old and new in the courtyard of the house. A buffet lunch sustained the conversations and exchanges well into the afternoon. It was a day to look back with gratitude, and to look forward with hope, as the chapel and the house begin the next chapter under new stewardship.
