After about a two-hour bus journey, we arrived in Belley, the Birthplace of the Society of Mary.
15 November: Remembering Fr Jean-Claude’s Dream for Us Today
Some lives make noise; others change the world in silence. Jean-Claude Colin was born in 1790 in St Bonnet-le-Troncy, France, during the time of the Revolution. He was a shy boy with a strong faith. He really loved silence in the middle of the forest, where he was able to find God in stillness.

Our visit to the places of Marist origin continued in Cerdon, the village where Father Colin served as parish priest.

The second day of our pilgrimage focused on the promise that the 12 seminarians, some of whom had recently been ordained priests, signed at Fourvière in 1816.
