Op dinsdag 9 juni 2026 heeft een toegewijd team van het Notre Dame Refugee Centre<\/a><\/strong> (NDRC) de 10 km lange London Legal Walk<\/strong> voltooid, samen met de Lady Chief Justice en duizenden juridische professionals, om geld in te zamelen voor de London Legal Support Trust. Hun inspanningen ondersteunen de toegang tot juridisch advies voor mensen in nood, in navolging van het evenement van vorig jaar, dat meer dan \u00a3 1.000.000 opbracht en duizenden mensen hielp toegang te krijgen tot het rechtssysteem. Dit jaar werd het NDRC-team vergezeld door pater Pascal Boidin, pater Clovis Gwencho en zuster Aqela Vere van Notre Dame de France, de door de Maristen geleide kerk die in 1996 het Notre Dame Refugee Centre oprichtte. <\/p>\n\n

NDRC, inmiddels een onafhankelijke liefdadigheidsorganisatie gevestigd aan Leicester Square, geeft al 30 jaar deskundig advies op het gebied van immigratie, sociale voorzieningen en huisvesting aan vluchtelingen en asielzoekers uit meer dan 90 landen<\/strong>. De deelname van priesters van Notre Dame de France aan de wandeling onderstreept de niet-aflatende inzet van de Maristen voor de ondersteuning van kwetsbare gemeenschappen. Elk pond dat door NDRC wordt ingezameld, gaat rechtstreeks naar het centrum, zodat rechtvaardigheid en ondersteuning voor iedereen toegankelijk blijven. <\/p>\n\n
